In 2025 I worked with a team of fellow students to make a picture book for children, commissioned by St. Joost School of Art and Design. This project resulted in a picture book bundle, telling 5 short stories, each made by an individual illustrator.<\/span><\/p>\n

The stories focus on entertainment, whilst also carrying a unique message about individuality and accepting everyone for who they are. Every story follows a new character, experiencing different hurdles, and overcoming them together with others. The stories all happen in the same village, and are connected by overlapping locations<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hi there! I’m Claudia do Livramento, a 22 year old illustrator from the Netherlands.\u00a0 Currently I am in my last years of art school, St. Joost School of Art and Design, studying illustrative storytelling. I love to spend my time reading, drawing, painting, cooking and playing games with friends!<\/p>\n

As an illustrator, it is my passion to tell stories in a visual way, whether this be a picture book for children, or through illustrations for novels. I especially love working on fictional works, specifically fantasy related. I believe visuals strengthen words, and help to truly pull readers into the world of the story.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As a child, I spent most of my time drawing, sketching and painting. I picked up portraiture art, and used this medium to develop my artistic skillset. I have always had an affinity for visual storytelling, but hadn’t yet taken the opportunity to further dive into this world apart from standalone works. During high school, I made the decision to pursue art school after encouragment from my teacher, after I used my final project there to make a large painting for the principal.<\/p>\n
